After Saint-Tropez and Marbella in previous years, music producer and Chanel House ambassador Caroline de Maigret and model Vivienne Rohner travelled together from New York to the Hamptons for the CHANEL Summer Tour.

Together, they curated a special line-up featuring singer and DJ Yaeji and band Say She She, for an evening celebrating music and summer — along with friends of the House Sadie Sink and Havana Rose Liu.

The Ask

Chanel's Paris team approached Early Spring to provide strategy, narrative guidance, and design direction for the Summer Tour in East Hampton.

The Insight

The Hamptons still has a mythological reputation, fuelled by the celebrity cachet that comes with square footage, seclusion, and ocean waves. But it represents a conspicuous wealth that isn't celebrated as it was in the 1990s and 2000s, and ordinances restrict its irreverence. The Hamptons is slowly losing its creative edge.

The Solution

In summers past, the seclusion of the Hamptons offered respite and inspiration to fabled artists. They came to create and converge — at local bars, and often by happenstance, at each other's homes. Early Spring reignited that bohemian spirit by scripting a narrative that harkens back to the memory of a good old-fashioned house party.
